How to Apply for Community Grants

The promise of Susan G. Komen is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures. For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2017, Komen Kansas City is investing more than $565,000 in 10 local community programs and research support. The Affiliate funds non-duplicative, community-based breast health education and breast cancer screening, diagnostic, and treatment projects for the medically underserved in our 17-county service area. In addition to funding local outreach projects, Susan G. Komen runs one of the most innovative, responsive grant programs in breast cancer today.

Susan G. Komen Greater Kansas City begins accepting grant applications
in September each year

Applications are due to the office via the online grants system GeMS
no later than at 5PM CT on the due date.

Grant award notifications will be late in Late March, and, if awarded,
grants will begin April 1  and end March 31 the following year.

To apply for a grant, please read the request for application (RFA) in full and apply through the Grants e-Management System (GeMS).
